Washington, D.C. tends to see a new influx of young professionals to our area each September, and Things To Do is making an extra effort to reach these new members for this bash. Come to our giant fall kickoff bash, and welcome some of our citiy’s newest residents to town.

This party attracts tons of young professionals every year.

Although I focus primarily on rent apartments DC, I do have to find great places to eat, and Manny & Olga’s Pizza, located at 1841 14th Street, NW, Washington, DC has tantalized my taste buds at all times of the day and night. For those of us who like those late night pizza runs, Manny & Olga’s is open until 4 am Sunday-Thursday and 5 am Friday and Saturday.

If you’re not quite the pizza fanatic like I am, don’t worry they serve up some of the best gyros on the east coast.

Flamenco is an individualistic, yet structured folk art from Andalucía, often improvised and spontaneous. The song, dance and guitar are blended together by the passionate rhythms of southern Spain. Spain’s famous poet and writer Fredrico Garcia Lorca, called flamenco one of the most gigantic inventions of the Spanish people.

Complex rhythmic patterns are created by a sophisticated footwork technique, so the flamenco dancer wears special shoes or boots with dozens of nails driven to the soles and heels. The ladies wear long costumes often with many frills and practice for hours their elegant arm and hand movements.

It’s a Thursday night, you’re in your apartments dc for rent, and suddenly find yourself quite thirsty,  a good brew and a nice meal to go along side it would sure hit the spot, wouldn’t it?

I’ve got you covered with a few great places that offer a wide variety of beer as well as having some great food.

First, why not head down to the Brickskeller over on 22nd St NW. The Brickskeller has a huge selection of beers so no matter what your preference is, you’ll be sure to find something that is delicious and refreshing.

If you’re looking for something with some locally made brews, be sure to check out Capital City Brewing Company, which opened up in 1992 as Washington’s first brew pub since the 18th Amendment rang in the prohibition era and was the nail in the coffin for most breweries and brew pubs across the nation.  I personally would suggest you try the Amber Waves Ale a delicious, award winning brew.

Aside from those two great places, you should also check out these  breweries and ale houses when you’ve got some free time, you won’t be disappointed:

Looking for something to do tonight? Want a few good beers to help you get over the midweek hump?

Why not head over to Birch & Barley and ChurchKey, near the corner of 14th & Rhode Island, for a chance to sample some of the amazing and hoppy beers from BrewDog. You may also be lucky enough to meeting one of the minds behind BrewDog, founder James Watt.

This Scottish brewery has developed quite the cult following amongst beer lovers for their tasty and inventive brews that push the boundaries of the craft brew world. Take for example their tests with alcohol extremes with ”Tactical Nuclear Penguin” (32%) , which was followed up with the 41% “Sink the Bismarck” and on the complete opposite end of the spectrum, “Nanny State” (1.1%).

Now these beers are usually more elusive than most , so this a great chance to try something you might not be able to find on your normal night out, especially if you rent apartments dc and when else would you get a chance to meet a Scottish Brewery owner in DC?
