World Cup Viewing in the Great Outdoors.

If you were there for the start of the World Cup you might remember the USA vs England match being shown on huge projecton screens in  Dupont Circle on the 12th, it was probably hard to miss if you lived in certain apartments dc for rent.

Well unfortunately that game was probably the only time you’d be able to watch a 2010 World Cup game in Dupont Circle. As the guys who ran the event, will not be able to set it up in time. As they mentioned on their facebook page

Although we had a great time with everyone on June 12th, unfortunately it takes several thousand dollars, loads of paperwork, hours and hours of planning, and a team of volunteers to pull off this type of 1 day event.

Not to worry though there are plenty of other venues to watch the match and if you still would like to watch the match in the great out doors I’ve got you covered.

World Cup Venues with Outdoor viewing:

Local 16

Open at 9 a.m. on game days and showing 10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. games. Outdoor projection screen on roof deck and multiple TVs throughout. Breakfast and lunch specials from $5 through the tournament. Drink specials include $4 beer, wine, and mixed drinks.

Jackson 20

Showing games at the bar and on an additional TV in the outdoor courtyard. Special breakfast, brunch, and lunch menus for $20.10. Grand Marnier-dipped orange slices at half time.

Biergarten House

Showing games on expansive outdoor patio and bar with numerous flat screen TVs and projectors.

Now let’s go root on the USA for another spectacular game, hopefully the first of many elimination games! I see a World Cup Trophy in our future!
