Washington DC | A Great Place for All Ages

For those of who’ve found rent apartments Washington DC, we are fortunate enough to know of all the fantastic events, museums, and neighborhoods there are in the area. Besides heading to Rock Creek Park, I love to become a tourist when my parents or out of town friends visit. Here are three of my favorite places:

smithsonian1. Smithsonian Institute: It is the world’s largest museum complex and research organization. It consists of 16 museums and the National Zoo (another favorite) in Washington D.C., and two museums in New York City. There is always something to see because it continues to grow every year.

2. Lincoln Memorial: This memorial reminds me of a Greek temple. You can find this out when you go but I’ll tell you anyway. There are 36 columns adorning this memorial and they represent each state that existed when Lincoln was assassinated. For me, the biggest attraction though is the statue of Lincoln himself. It’s HUGE.

3. National Gallery of Art: This is NOT part of the Smithsonian Institute. The East Wing is my favorite and it needs to be seen because of the giant Calder mobile, the Matisee paper cutouts and many other marvels that capture my attention each time I bring family and Friends.
