  3. Can I pay my rent electronically?

Yes, you can sign up for direct debit and through your bank we will automatically deduct your rental payment each month.  Please contact our Accounting Department at the corporate office for more information or to complete a direct debit information form.

  4. What happens if I have to break my lease?

You will be required to pay a lease break fee, which is equal to a full month’s rent.  You will need to submit that with your notice of intent to vacate at least sixty days prior to your move out (see” what do I have to do to move out?”)

  5. What do I have to do to move out?

Please complete a notice of intent to vacate form and submit it within 30 days of your move out.  If you must break your lease, please submit the form sixty days in advance.  You may download a “notice of intent to vacate form” from our resident services page and submit to your Property Manager or to the Corporate Office.

  6. Can I paint in my apartment?

You are free to paint your interior walls any color of your choice.  At move out, the walls must be returned to the original color and primed if the chosen paint color is bright or dark.  You will be charged per wall if the walls are not painted back to the original color.

  7. How do I submit a service request?

You can either submit your service request online via our resident services page or you may contact your property management office for your building and the resident relations at the front desk will be happy to enter your request into our system.

  8. Do you accept dogs?

At this time, DARO Realty only accepts cats (up to two in each apartment).  Each cat requires a monthly $25 charge and a one-time non-refundable pet fee.  These charges are per cat.  If you are interested in owning a cat here at DARO, please contact your Property Manager.

  9. Is parking available at any DARO communities?

Yes, DARO has a few communities that have either lot, garage or both off-street parking options.  Please contact your Property Manager for more information.

  10. Can I sublease my apartment while I am away?

DARO does not allow one to sublease their apartment while away for an extended period of time.  Please refer to your original lease for details.
